Introduction
Avocall ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
By using Avocall, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

- Your email address
- SMS OTP (One-Time Password) verification via your mobile device
- The Avocall phone number assigned to your account

We collect information about how you use the app, including call logs, call metadata, and app interactions. This helps us improve the service.
Call Metadata
To provide our international calling service and comply with carrier requirements, we collect:
- Phone numbers you call
- Date and time of calls
- Call connection status
- Call duration
- Call destination (country and region)
- Call volume and frequency patterns
This metadata helps us detect and prevent abuse, comply with carrier policies, and improve service quality. We do not record or store the content of your calls.
Device Information
We collect device identifiers, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and analytics purposes.
Fraud Prevention and Identity Verification
To prevent abuse, comply with carrier requirements, and ensure the integrity of our international calling service, we collect and process:
- Device fingerprinting: We generate a SHA-256 hash of device characteristics to identify unique devices and prevent multi-account fraud
- VPN detection: We detect when users are connecting through VPN services, which may indicate fraudulent activity or attempts to circumvent geographic restrictions
- IP geolocation: We verify your location through IP address analysis to ensure compliance with carrier requirements and detect suspicious activity
- SMS OTP verification: We require phone number verification via one-time password during registration
Enhanced Identity Verification
To maintain service quality and comply with carrier anti-fraud requirements, users who place a high volume of calls may be required to complete enhanced identity verification. This verification is processed through Stripe Identity and may include:
- Government-issued photo ID verification (driver's license, passport, or state ID)
- Selfie verification to match the ID photo
- Document authenticity checks
This verification helps us ensure all users are real individuals engaging in legitimate personal communication, as required for international calling services under carrier guidelines.
