Getting a number by area code

Replace {area_code} with a three-digit US or Canada area code (for example 646 for New York or 415 for San Francisco). /numbers/search redirects to the matching /area-codes page. /api/numbers is the live inventory index (per area code: count of available numbers, fetchedAt, changedAt, the area-code page URL and its feed URL). /api/numbers/{area_code} lists the available numbers in one area code, each with a checkoutUrl of the form https://avocall.net/checkout?n=%2B1XXXXXXXXXX that opens the web checkout with that number selected.

Calling cards for Ukraine and Egypt are listed but currently out of stock, so they cannot be bought right now. Each card page shows the minutes per amount, with no connection or maintenance fees, and a card works from any phone with a PIN.

Can I use it for dating or selling online without giving out my personal number?
